My Top 5 Fall Purchases
Hey friends! October has been a whirlwind month for the Pramanns, per usual … ! And we’re heading to Vegas on Thursday for my good friend’s wedding! I’m excited for all the festivities * and * to sneak in some 80-degree weather before winter hits the Midwest! Before we head out (and before fall is OVER), I wanted to share my BEST BUYS so far this season—the stuff worth getting in multiples!!
#1: THE COATIGAN
Hands down my favorite purchase of the season. It’s the perfect “October” coat if you live in Minnesota, aka the right weight to wear before things get really cold in November. I love love love the relaxed fit (loose and slouchy is kind of my jam lately)—the definition of effortless. I’ve been wearing it to the office during the week, and it’s equally appropriate for weekend grocery store runs, brewery visits, leaf peeping … you know the drill. I will say this looks SO much better in real life than it does on the website. I fell in love the instant I put it on.
#2: ANKLE BOOTS
It’s hard to find the perfect ankle boot. These are the combination of everything I love: Chelsea boot styling, pointed toe and a good shaft/heel height. There’s not much to say here beyond that—these are my everyday go-to boots that pair well with everything skirts and jeans. I’ve been way more into brown and camel this season than I ever have been, so I had to get the brown croc in addition to the black suede (they also come in snakeskin).
#3: SLIP SKIRT
Another super versatile piece. Midi skirts are having a moment, and I love them with sweatshirts, sweaters and graphic tees. This one will also be perfect with a lacy cami or sequin top for upcoming holiday parties. Both of these colors go with everything; how cool would the copper-colored skirt be with a camel sweater and boots for a monochrome look?
It’s sherpa season!! There are lots of cozy sherpa coats, vests and sweatshirts out there, but I love this one from Athleta because I can wear it to the office with a midi skirt OR to the gym! I do walks in our neighborhood whenever I don’t have time or don’t want to go to the gym, and this is perfect for a brisk hour outside. Cute workout clothes make all the difference, don’t they? It’s great for camping and chilly nights around the bonfire too! (We still need to get ours set up, but I’m hoping we’ll get it done before there’s snow on the ground!)
#5: SWEATER DRESS
Meet the most perfect everyday dress SLASH me in a dress. This is the long-sleeve version of what I wore for our engagement photos—totally timeless. I LOVE the simple/easy silhouette. And the long sleeves are great, too—it’s lightweight/thin enough to layer easily, but you don’t HAVE to wear it with a jacket or cardigan. I try to buy mostly clothes that work in any season, and this dress is definitely a three-season (if not year-round) winner for work and date night.
What’s your best buy of the season??
