Backyard Baby Shower
Happy Monday!
What a weekend … we hit the ground running with friends coming over on Friday night for grilling and games, followed by a baby shower and my sister’s birthday festivities on Saturday. The baby shower was for one of the first friends I met freshman year at IOWA, and it was really fun to see her in this new stage—she is going to be the best mom (what I wore: below!). And then I had a really good time meeting some of my younger sister’s friends at her birthday gathering and seeing her in such a happy stage as she gets ready to move in with her boyfriend. Sunday I ran all the errands, assembled a shoe rack for my new office and started packing for a work trip—a good weekend start to finish! This afternoon I’m heading to Dallas for my company’s 11th anniversary party! I’m really excited to meet some new team members, see others again, hopefully have some Tex Mex, and get a change of scenery to start the week. Chris asked if I was nervous, because I tend to get a little anxious when traveling—and I was definitely nervous last time I went to Dallas because I didn’t know anyone yet—but I’m really not this time … all I have to do is show up and go to a party 🎉 Stay tuned for a recap!
