Mother's Day Gift Guide
Happy Monday!
I received a letter in the mail recently saying that InStyle magazine (which I’ve subscribed to for years) is no longer being published and that I would start receiving People instead. I was a little surprised, but also not … anyway, I flipped through People during some downtime yesterday and really enjoyed it! I used to occasionally pick up a copy at the grocery store, but haven’t touched an issue in ages. Something that caught my eye was the “pick-me-up pick” reco on The Best New Books spread: in Things to Look Forward To, the author shares her favorite small pleasures (a full moon, a new word, coffee). It feels relevant in this season when winter is seeming to last forever (32 degrees and cloudy in Minneapolis currently) and we’re (still) drowning in this damn upstairs remodel. A few small pleasures I’m looking forward to this week: trying out this morning beauty water, a fresh manicure, and our sand volleyball league starts on Wednesday! In other news, Mother’s Day is two weeks away so I rounded up some luxe (and some under-$100) gifts perfect for the number-one woman in your life.
