Short & Sweet
Happy Monday! Hope you had a good weekend! Ours was quiet and productive, just as I’d hoped. I did four loads of laundry (towels, sheets, swimsuits, clothes!), went for a couple of long walks, Chris and I finished Mare of Easttown (loved!), and Chris finished staining the deck and painting the garage door. I had really gotten used to the unstained deck, but it looks so much better (and finished) now. Exciting stuff, huh?! I feel like there’s a lot of pressure in this post-pandemic world to do something fabulous and exciting every weekend to “make the most” of summer, but I think it’s OK and necessary to have quiet weekends to recharge when you need it, too.
So, as we get another week rolling, I wanted to ask: what’s your coffee order? I tried a new drink from Starbucks the other day, and thought I would share because it was pretty frickin’ delicious. My new go-to is the Iced Chocolate Almondmilk Shaken Espresso—with nonfat milk instead of almond milk. I like ordering online because you have plenty of time to consider and customize your order, without the pressure of memorizing the potentially lengthy tongue-twister of a drink name. If you need a pick me up today, log onto Starbucks.com and try this! (Caribou gal? Iced crafted press all the way.) I don’t “splurge” on coffee that often, but every now and then, it’s a fun treat … and maybe just what your Monday needs. ☕☕☕
Bodysuit (shop all silhouettes here) | Shorts (Abercombie, similar here and here) | Sandals (grab these if you prefer a heel)
In other news: here are the shorts I’m living in this summer. Longer inseams and relaxed fits are in, and I am so on board. No more short-shorts riding up your thighs and making you uncomfortable in more ways than one. Bonus that a longer short has the potential to look more polished, too. These would be totally appropriate with a button-down and heels if the occasion called for a dressier look. Bring on those 90-degree days, baby.
