Summer Tuxedo
Hey hey hey! How’s your week going? Mine has been a little crazy at work to start, but I’m hoping it settles down a bit on the back end as people start to trickle out of office for the holiday. We’re hitting up trivia tonight with our volleyball crew, and then it’s time to get ready for the Fourth—meal planning, food shopping and prepping, Total Wine run, etc.!
Today I wanted to share three Instagram accounts that are inspiring me—just for funsies! I’ve been thinking a lot about my personal brand and entrepreneurial ambitions, and these accounts make me want to keep going!
@designcrush: an art director who shares quotes that always hit! Her posts are comforting little quips during the mid-week overwhelm.
@keltie: former Entertainment Tonight host and 1/3 of the Ladygang podcast I listen to. She’s playful and relatable, yet so driven and accomplished—and totally inspires my business-owning ambitions.
@_ifitstuesday: a widow, mom and grandma living in New England who started a style-based IG account to keep herself looking pulled together through the pandemic. Honestly, her photos remind me of my own—snapped in the same location every day, just doing it for herself—and discovering an account similar to mine via Cup of Jo (a huge lifestyle blog!) is somewhat validating when doubts creep in.
I wore these wide-leg tuxedo pants to work this week with a shoulder pad tank and dubbed it the Summer Tuxedo—tuxedo pants are a timeless staple worth investing in if you find a good pair, and the shoulder pad tee makes it modern.
