Seeing Stars
Happy Monday! It was a good weekend. Despite really wanting/needing to lay low and rest, I took a short road trip back to my hometown to see my dad and catch up with a high school friend who was visiting from Boise. Sometimes you just gotta get over that initial hump or lack of motivation (for whatever the situation) and then things arenโt so bad, you know? Then on Sunday Chris and I headed to The Home Depot to pick up paint samples. Weโre getting new exterior doors next month, and need to decide on a shade of gray! (Comment with your pick here!) New doors are the final step in the process of the houseโs complete exterior facelift, and I canโt wait to get rid of our broken burgundy front door with rotting frames and the storm doors that just get in the way.
Anyway, itโs officially one week until the Fourth of July, and itโs 100% my motivation for getting through this week! We plan to head to the lake early Saturday and stay through Monday. It will be our normal crew, plus a few extra joining for the holiday! This star-print jacket is totally appropriate for the festive week ahead, although I wear it on pretty heavy rotation all year long. Itโs that utility silhouette everyone needs in their closet, perfectly oversized, and the stars are a little more unique and fun than camo (but it still pairs easily with everything). I like wearing it with dresses for fun masculine/feminine contrast.
