Colorful Clothes to Brighten Your Day
Hi friends! It has been a crazy few weeks, hasn’t it? Chris and I are hanging in there—and I’m grateful that, for the most part, we had no major plans this spring that are getting derailed due to COVID-19. We sneaked in our honeymoon at the end of February (hopefully sharing some pictures soon!), and even got to say goodbye to Chris’s stepdad who battled cancer for four years, the day before hospitals started restricting visitors in March. We’ve both been working from home for the past few weeks and staying busy on the weekends with yard work and house projects. It’s a scary situation, but we’re trying to take it all one day at a time and focus on the things we can control. I certainly hope that you and your family are safe and well through all of this! In the meantime, I can’t say I HAVEN’T been enjoying getting to stay home and wear sweats all day. But as the mornings and afternoons blur into evenings, and weekends blur into weeks, I’ve come to appreciate the power of getting dressed in a whole new way—and how simply throwing on some color (or a fun print) can really be the bright spot in an otherwise blah day. Here, I’m rounding up a few of my recent color cravings that you’ll get plenty of mileage out of once this is all over (how fun is that leopard set?!). I hope/plan to be back soon with more posts! Thanks, as always, for reading—stay home and stay safe! 😊
Shop the Color Edit: Leopard Top (ready for the video conference! so fun with the matching shorts for dinner out when restaurants open back up, and these pants!) | Leopard Shorts (dress them up with the matching button-down, or down with a graphic tee) | Blazer (love this eggshell color—beautiful investment for work that you can also wear for Easter!) | Skirt (I have this skirt in black, and it’s SO versatile—I’m ready to add a spring shade to the mix) | Tee (love the boxy fit and heart embroidery—this would go from working at the kitchen table to easy walks around the block) | Sneakers (the pop of animal print is so fun, and these will pair with everything) | Sweatshirt (while quarantining, I can’t have enough oversized sweatshirts—and one with a positive message and metallic graphic is even better). P.S. I’m also loving these biker shorts and tank for at-home workouts, this wild jacket—because why not—and this tie-dye maxi.
