My Holiday Party Picks
Do you have any holiday parties lined up yet? We hosted a festive get-together with some friends at our house last year (one of the things I was most excited to do when we bought a house), and I’m thinking I’ll do it again this year—a few people have been asking about it so I need to get the invites out ASAP! (It feels like Christmas is right around the corner!) We’ve had a few “parties” in the last few weeks—GNO with a bunch of girls from work and a game night—and it’s a lot of work to host (buying the supplies, cleaning up the next morning) … but it’s worth it. This is what life is about, right?! Anyway, there are so few occasions that I really dress up anymore, and for me, the holidays have always been a time to bust out your best. Dressing up shows how special and meaningful a time of year it is, rather than just any other day where you would wear jeans and a sweatshirt. Soooo, I’ll be wearing one of the below options for our holiday party this year—I’m leaning toward the slip dress! V appropriate for the host, right? 🍾🍾🍾 Which is your fave?
Velvet Cami + Velvet Slip Skirt (wear each piece separately after the holidays—the cami with jeans and the skirt with a graphic tee) | Sequin Slip Dress (wear with this fuzzy cardigan to tone down the sparkle—I love the dress in silver with the white sweater, too!) | Velvet Jumpsuit (love the easy wide legs and festive bow—wear it with a denim jacket for a more casual feel)
