The Super Versatile Sandals I'm Stocking Up On
Lots of big things happened this year. Visited Seattle, Charleston and Portland. Drove a moped. Got married. And—drumroll—finally figured out my style. 🙌 After 31 years, it finally clicked. Here’s how: 1. I watched Tidying Up with Marie Kondo on Netflix. 2. Inspired to declutter my closet, I cleared out everything that didn’t “spark joy” (or hadn’t been worn in the last two weeks). 3. What remained was MY UNIFORM! 💡💡💡
Now I live in crewneck sweatshirts and hoodies, t-shirts, black pants and black jeans, and the occasional pop of leopard and python. It feels so good to have a smaller, tidier closet full of clothes that legitimately make me happy AND flatter my shape. Part of the uniform life means buying multiples when I find something I like—some people love having options, but I find comfort in the consistency of the few styles I love and never having outfit regret.
So, you guys know how much I love the Sam Edelman Patti sandals. Perfect for work, weekend date nights and even weddings, they’re a signature part of my uniform and I have them in seven colors. Now, I’ve found the perfect flat sandals to stock up on.
The Steven Madden Greece sandal is just as versatile as the Patti sandal I love and a natural addition to my uniform. Simple and chic at the same time, it comes in tons of different colors and looks a lot like the Hermes Oran sandals that will set you back $650. They fit my wide(r) feet, the leather softens up over time and because I’ve had other SM sandals hold up for several years even with daily wear, I’m hopeful these will too. ✔️✔️✔️ If you’re into the uniform life (or just need some cute sandals for under $100), grab a few of these!
It’s been a busy week around here so far—Chris and I went to the Twins game with friends on Monday, had our normal volleyball game on Wednesday and have a friend’s housewarming party on Saturday. Hope you’re having a good week! Can’t believe it’s already August!
