The Ultimate Holiday Hostess Outfit
Happy Tuesday!
We had the most relaxing weekend and it made for a very un-Monday Monday to start the week (aka I was in a great mood when my alarm went off at 7AM).
I decided that September and October are for fall decor and November and December are for holiday decor—so I happily set up our first Christmas tree on Friday night. Growing up, my family always had green Frasier firs, but I ordered this flocked tree on a whim, and I like it! So cozy. We tied up some loose ends on our wedding website, sent our save the dates (!!!) and went to a friend’s house for dinner before a hockey game at Chris’s alma mater. We were in bed by 10PM Friday and Saturday night, which is the best feeling on a weekend! I even had time to make the pumpkin chocolate chip cookies I bought ingredients for a month or two ago.
I also got the urge to plan a holiday party, so I sent out paperless post invites to a small group yesterday! I’m thinking apps, some kind of festive cocktail, charades and a gift exchange.
And I already found the perfect hostess outfit.
The combination of a casual turtleneck and tulle ball skirt is effortless and special at the same time—just enough fancy for a holiday party without feeling over the top. The white is so pretty—like a snow queen—but go with black if you want to fly a little more under the radar.

So festive and fun for holiday gatherings all season, from the office party to Christmas Eve! Who else is getting into the spirit early this year??
