How To Prep For Valentine's Day
Happy Friday! This week was pretty low-key! Chris and I checked out another wedding venue on Wednesday (the saga continues), then met new friends for trivia at a brewery—so fun! At work, a new project that I was originally hired to spearhead finally kicked off, and it feels so good. This weekend, we're attending a fundraiser called Men in the Kitchen—all the boyfriends and husbands compete to prepare the best culinary creation, Top Chef-style. I can't wait to sample everything! On the wellness/2018 goals front, I have not been eating well or managing to work out regularly, and I am craving fruit, greens and a good sweat session. I'm working from home today, so my plan is to go to the gym around noon, swing by Target to finally get my flu shot and pick up an acai bowl from Truce for lunch! Let's start the weekend right, shall we?
Chris and I have yet to nail down our Valentine's Day plans (last year we did a brewery crawl, and I think we might repeat this year!), but regardless of what we do, there are a few things I'll need—thinking a fun top and red nails, at the minimum. I really want to try this buildable tan sleep oil, too. Nothing wrong with a little extra glow for a special night.
Shop a few more picks to inspire your Valentine's Day below: the lingerie, the bath salts and candles, the girls' night sweatshirt, the beauty essentials, the date night top and the pretty little PJs! Even if you're riding solo, give yourself some love with a prosecco candle and bright bouquet from Trader Joe's.
Confession: I've never done a Galentine's Day party (!), which I know is a crime. I've always wanted to get together with friends to eat apps, drink wine and exchange silly gifts—but have never had the right crowd. How do you celebrate (or not)? Have an amazing weekend!
