What To Wear To Your Office Holiday Party

What To Wear To Your Office Holiday Party

TIS THE SEASON for holiday parties! While popping bottles isn't complicated, the holiday office party can be tricky because the vibe is all over the board.

I've worked at a handful of places in the last seven years, and the parties have ranged from lunch at a dive bar to food and drinks at a VP's home to an evening of music and dancing.

They've all been greatβ€”a welcome end-of-year celebration for all your hard work!β€”but I'm partial to the fancier events. It's fun to DRESS UP, for your spouse or S.O. to meet your coworkers, and to mingle with people you might not interact with every day (especially if you're single!).

Fun fact: Chris and I met at our company party two years ago TODAY! I was wearing something very similar to this, so follow my advice this holiday season and you could find your future husband! ;)

Whatever your company has lined up, all you need to nail your look is a pair of statement earrings. Chandelier sparklers give your jeans a festive feel that's still daytime-appropriate if it's a low-key lunch thing. And if it's all the way fancy, jewelry that turns heads is a must!

If it's somewhere in between, go with joggers and an off-the-shoulder sweater for a look that's a little dressier, but still effortless. This sweater is SO soft, doesn't annoyingly slip up like off-the-shoulder tops, and the bell sleeves have a fun swing to them. And I'm obsessed with these joggersβ€”super flattering (speaking as someone who doesn't love her legs) and something you can dress up or down. Overall: the perfect blend of fancy and casual.

This year, my company party is on the 19th! We're doing brunch with the entire Creative Team, then my five-person Marketing Team (small but mighty!) is going out for drinks and exchanging our favorite under-$15 beauty products. We don't do happy hour nearly as often as I would've thought for a young, fun company, so I'm excited to let loose with everyone!
